Partners of men with prostate cancer Intervention Program
In association with Royal Melbourne Hospital and Swinburne University and with funding support from beyondblue, Dr Addie Wootten is working with Australian Prostate Cancer Research to develop an innovative psychological support program for partners of men with prostate cancer.
The program will be conducted across two phases; market research and program development and pilot testing. The market research phase will ascertain the current support needs of partners of men with prostate cancer and the gaps in current service provision via structured focus group research. The data collected in this phase of the research will be used to develop an online psychological support intervention specifically targeting the identified areas of need. The second phase of this research will involve pilot testing of the developed program and user feedback.
